Island mountains that belong to Europe,
but only in a political sense. Ranked by primary factor.

This list identifies and ranks mountains on islands that have NO geographical relation to Europe, but where the island is part of a European country in a political sense. There is no independence and the population (if any) on the island participates in the political system of the relevant European country.
Note that Greenland, although politically tied to Denmark, has been left out. That island has "home rule" and so many mountains that a separate list is required.
This ranking is done with respect to primary factor (or prominence). The primary factor is also called the "prominence" of a mountain in the USA. Only mountains with a primary factor of at least 1000 meter qualify for this list.

Use the list of Europe's 100 Finest Mountains for (core) Europe and the list of Atlantic European islands to identify prominent mountains in Europe.

For islands, the primary factor of its highest mountain will therefore equal the elevation (above sea level) of that peak. However, an island with a low saddle connecting two peaks may well have two (or more) entries on the list.

Two stars behind the rank means that I have climbed it (0/8).
