Maritius is in his late twenties. He has a friendly face, and he is usually in a pleasant mood. He is curious and enjoys meeting and talking to other people. He spends a lot of time listening to and talking to people he meets on his travels.
Maritus wears a knee-long, redish brown (?) tunik and the red cap (though not as tall as some other redcaps). He has a quarterstaff and a bag with writing tools. Around his neck, he has a amulette (?), which is said to be his charm of luck; actually it's a charm against magic. It resembles Verditii symbol for Rego.
He is assigned to Languedoc in the Provençal tribunal. He will probably travel as far as Rhône in the East, Doissetep in the West and Barcelona in the South.
