Stuff that matters:

History
I've made music now since I was about 12 I guess. Started out with some tracker program on my friends Amiga500, and then after getting a SoundBlaster (they were WAY cool at the time) I started using my dads (in other words, my brother and mine) computer. After a while the novelty of the 8bit mono samples started to wear of, and I bought myself (without my parents knowing ofcourse) a GRAVIS Ultrasound (the 'classic' one). At that time I also started using ScreamTracker (till then I'd be using SoundBlaster Edit I think).

Beacon
After a while I got to know Christian Stigen Larsen (Beacon) and got him to start tracking again (or was it the other way around). He made some tunes that knocked my feat of. Till then I'd been making these typical! tracker tunes, I guess I had this weird idea that tracker tunes had to _sound_ like tracker tunes. Beacon proved me wrong, he made tunes, which happened to be made in a tracker :) After that, I did too :)

MIDI
Anyway, after moving to Bergen to start studying, I bought myself a sampler, midi keybard and an FM synth module. Later I also got myself a drum machine, and ofcourse a mixer. Needless to say I started doing some midi too. But, being an addicted user, I constantly had to have the PC and setup with me (for christmas , summer etc.) and to tell your the truth it was rather boring bringing it along hoping it would survive yet another travel. I also tracked at the time, ImpulseTracker being (still) the ultimate PC-tracker.

The ex-present
Now, I've sold the drum machine, still got the sample & FM module, but don't use em, the mixer is also dorment for the moment. Now I've got all I need (yeah right) crammed into the computer, the EWS64XL soundcard is a sampler/synth/hd-recorder all in one, and it WORKS. With 64MB of memory on it I guess I'll keep it for a while. For sequencing I use Cakewalk. I haven't tracked in a year or so, moving completely over to MIDI-sequencing... but time will show.

The present
I ditched my Terratec and got me a M-Audio Audiophile and a brand new Athlon system. Now playing with Reason, Cubase and a lot of VST instruments. Funfunfun :) If you want the EWS64 XL send me a mail, it is (actually) one of the best multi-purpose audio cards for ISA out there.
