192kbit/s
5.0mb After chatting a bit with Mr. Vestbų I worked some more on this tune. Ambient with clickish beats and stuff - Gah I can't be bothered to describe it, I can't review my own tunes that would just be plaing wrong! |

Search and Destroy (espen edit)
192kbit/s
4.7mb First public tune of 2004! Happy new year everyone :) This tune is a collaboration done with Frode Frisk. I've built upon Frodes wonderfull pads and spacy beats and added a funky bass and more dance friendly beats :) Lots of things left to polish in this tune, but even now it ROCKS in my opinion. Enjoy. |

192kbit/s
3.0mb So I watched and listened to Turandot by Puccini. It's amazing! So I got inspired. I lifted of some of his licks :) (you probably can't spot them) and used it in my own tune. It really needs some mellow nice vocals - we'll see if we can't get some. Reminds me of a kind of lullaby... |

The New Job (first version)
192kbit/s
3.0mb And we're baaack ;) And not even a finished tune for you :( But just to show you that I'm not quite dead I've put up my latest playing with Orion PRO. I quite like the program, it's fast to work in - for me it seemed like a good cross between Fruityloop and Cakewalk ... ok I _know_ FLP has got a better note editor now... Anyways, this tune 'lends' some samples from The Ventures rendering of Nadias Theme from some movie, and the "Zimba Ku" beatloop pitched up a bit and put through a compressor... and some other stuff :) |

Eighties Megahit

2.6mb Yehars first SID tune! :D (And as with most Yehar releases it has mega in the title ;) Anyways, nice little c64 nostalgia here - it's almost as you can picture the sine scrollers and loooong greetings list of an intro or crack or something :D "Sublevel3 proudly presents ..." etc :D .sid and .sng (for Goat Tracker) are also available. |

Old Records
192kbit/s
6.8mb It's been a while. Sorry for you few few readers of these pages :) Anyways. Got a totally new system, and new sequencer - takes time to learn. This is not the only tune I've made from feb to oct. But the ones I want to work some more with is for the old system so I have to use some time to convert them.... This one however is made using sources from two LPs only. It's ambient - "a but like Shuttle 358" (quote from friend). Anyways - enjoy. And - I'd be impressed if you can guess what two LPs it's from? :) |

5.6mb I just got this new CD from Isotank (it took 3-4 months!!!!) called Automate by Forma Tadre (buy it!!). Sinfest
192kbit/s
5.6mb Ok so I like Hexstatic, the c64, Boards of Canada ,DnB AND ambient. Welll this is what happens then :D In case you wondered about the main theme try watching Dirty Harry and paying close attention - you might notice it ;) Other then that, used FruityLoops to make the drums, and then split em up in SoundForge and sfx'ed em a bit. Ofcourse the talking is from another of my affections - SF movies =D If you can't tell which one, YOU SUCK! =D And also the lovely talking otherwise is done by our most trusted friend - the c64 =D. And, please check out: Sinfest - the comic which inspired this tune too. |

Steps on Tundra
160kbit/s
4.9mb A soothing synthesizer piece, takes your mind to a travel over the nothern plains of tundra... Not techno! Resembles Kitaro's (Silk Road...) music? Based on a single pattern from 1998 that sounded too good (the bell-pad chords starting at 0:20) to be original and had hence been put to rest. |

160kbit/s
5.3mb Ambient trip-hop with some organ samples from Dirty Harry (yes, the movie), oh yes - and a cheesy bass. IT all ends in a sad little synthchords theme... and if you feel the tune kinda degenerates rhythmwise in the end of the tune, it does, gues Cake+SForge got a bit to much for the machine while recording the tune. |

Acerbic study of sounds (acid) 192kbit/s
5.6mb This is an old song (from around 1996) that was originally made by Beacon for use in a multimedia demo from Sublevel3. It's mostly beat-driven, and you'll surely hear clear resemblances to Crystal Method's Keep Hope Alive and Prodigy's Funky Shit. Due to the bad sound quality (hissing 22khz 8bit samples), Yehar (Olli Niemitalo) spent a day remastering the tune, and the result is a much better sounding song! |

The Reality Dysfunction 160kbit/s 5.9mb This as the tune above also includes samples from Transformed, maybe even more then Bitech. And about the title, guess, yes it IS a SF-book, with the same title as this tune. Read it. Well back to the tune, I guess you can better spot the source in this tune, and I guess it's a bit more true to the source. It's got a bit pling-plong, and some strings, where can it go wrong? :) Actually I think this tune has all samples from Nordheim - Transformed, no... ofcourse I added some beats, oh well ;) |

The beat could have been in the trip-hop area if they were slowed by say 10BPM but hey, thats life :) Anyway, this tune is finally finished. Remixes from Beacon coming up (again hopefully). This is the real me... 160kbit/s 7.0mb As everybody else are quite boring (reading/writing for their exams) I had to channel my creative urge somewhere. So I made another tune :D Ambient with beats... I just have to add some beats don't I... Can't think of much else to mention.. Some samples from 2001, some taken at 'Kvadrat' a shopping-center in my home town (Beacon and I running around with a DAT). Anyway it starts out rather synced but after a while it kinda seems to loose the rythm a bit. It's not composed that way it's just because I both played and recorded the tune at the same time (full duplex) and I guess my poor computer had a hard time trying to keep up the pace... PII here I come? |

Saotome (Akane mix) 160kbit/s 6.5mb This tune contains beats originating from Omni Trio,Orbital and Mental Overdrive, but I guess you won't notice that (maybe the Omni Trio). Anyway it also contains a sample from HAL in 2001, but its really messed up (by my favourite sample editor) so you still won't notice it even though I just told you ;). It's a good tune I think, download and enjoy. And another thing .... come ON! Ranma and Akane, could you just pleeeease become a couple so I won't have to go bankrupt bying the comics *groan* |

This piece was heavily influenced by the MOD track on the Arctic Circles compilation (published by my friend Vidar Hanssen / Beatservice Records). 0011 128 kbit/s 5.85mb This is a track that I'm very pleased with. Unfortunately, it's entirely in 8-bit, but I've plans to make a new version. You might recognise that the drumsamples are taken from Envane (Laughing Quarters to be exact). Besides those, the background sound is from Polar Sequences, and there is a small clip from Alien (which you probably won't notice even if you try). All in all: For once I've used so little samples from other artists that I might actually reproduce all the sounds myself! The track *is* dark, but not in a depressing way (elegantly put into words by Irene McC). Especially I like the second part, where the choir fades in to accompany the strings. Trivia: After completing the song, it was sent to Geir Friestad / Keiichi as a birthday present. I think he liked it (not fearing it might be too dark for him :) Made with Scream Tracker 3.21 and mastered with Judas Player. |
