How to get there:
This mountain is on the island Tysnes. Easy to reach by ferry from Halhjem, south of
Bergen. The ferry should go to Våge. From Våge, drive south about 3.8 kilometer,
turn left towards Dalen. There is a wider section of the road signed as Dalen Parking, park here,
location N60.016000, E005.544038, elevaation about 150 meter.
Route:
Continue along the road past the last farm. You will soon arrive at a fork where Ilefjellet
is signed left. Take the right fork, the tractor road will cross a small concrete bridge, then gradually head uphill.
Note that some maps are quite wrong in this area, showing two separte trails, this is all wrong, there is only a single
good trail. Higher up, this trail forks, stay right (this trail is hard to see), the main trail continues to
XX, while the correct (small) trail will lead to YY.
Comments:
I had already been on Ilefjellet. Descending,
I was led astray by the map, searching for
a second (non-existent) trail. This led me into the hillside with big trees, however a storm had downed many and
the area was very unatractive, messy to walk across.
