How to get there:
This mountain is located on the island of Hawaii, also called
"The Big Island". There are good (flight) connections with Honululu.
There is a road all the way to the top. Route description:
If one parks at a lower elevation then the hike
up the mountain is quite nice. Comments:
This mountain is the highest on earth if one measures
from the base, that is, the flat (in this case bottom of
the ocean) area surrounding the mountain. The mountain has
a number of large telescopes on the summit.
