How to get there:
The mountain is located in the Guadaloupe Mountains National
Park, a short drive south-west of Carlsbad along highway 180
to El Paso. Route description:
There is a clear and easy trail leading from the
parking area to the summit. We made it as
a family climb with two kids aged 4 and 11, daddy
carried the 4 year old part of the way. Comments:
The view is actually quite nice, since most of Texas is
very flat and stretches to the horizon.
