How to get there: The mountain is straight up from Boulder, Baseline road, which incidently, runs precisely on the 40th parallel. Route description: There are many trails to the summit. One can start at the western end of Baseline Road, or over at NCAR at the western end of Table Mesa Road. The east side of Green Mountain, facing Boulder has the famous Flatirons rock formations, quite large planar rocks that are tilted upwards and a favorite place for climbers.
Comments: We did this as a Sunday hike starting from our home on University Avenue. The mountain is a popular place for day hikes from downtown Boulder.
