Route description:
From the trailhead, follow paths that lead into the wash coming
out of the nearby canyon. Walk into the canyon following the wash,
then look carefully for a trail that exits up to the right marked with
a yellow (plastic) ribbon.
The bank on your right gets more difficult to climb further into
the canyon, backtrack if necessary. Even if you do not find the
entry point of the trail, it should be easy to locate slightly
higher up as you cross right when leaving the canyon.
Follow this trail as it climbs the slope while traversing a bit
left (as you look uphill), to gain a saddle at location
N26.11844, W100.59441, elevation about 1125 meter.
