Information:

How to get there:
The town of Jaca south of the peak is a reasonable point of reference. Drive west, then north on A-176. Turn right to follow the nice, paved (narrow) road that ends at the Refugio de Lizara. This location is N42.76355, W000.63375, elevation slightly above 1500 meter.

Route::
Head uphill on the trail that is just left of the lodge when viewed from the parking area below the lodge. You will arrive at a farm road on top of the first (small) hill. Take this farmers road (right), the road climbs steeply and bends left to access the basin below the peak. A trail (marked) continues, note that it forks right from the (tractor) road. This trail will take you to the main col, Collau de lo Foraton, 2016 meter.
Turn right and follow the tracks on the top of the ridge towards the peak. When the terrain steepens, follow a cairned route. There are several tracks here, the easiest sort of ascends left when looking uphill. The easiest trail remains (barely) YDS class 1, however it is easy to get yourself into steeper terrain here, so pay attention. Higher up, the trail turns right and leads easily to the highest summit while staying well below the ridge.
Comments:
This was quite a pleasant hike on a pretty warm day. I left at 1015 and arrived at the summit after 2:15 hours. I ended up on a more direct line in the steeper part of the route, cairns also here, but more of a (YDS) class 2 type route.
Quite a popular summit, about 5-6 there when I arrived. Several has ascended from the east side of the peak. They said that was a longer route. I sat down and had some water, good views north. Returning after a 20 minute summit break, I followed the main track back down, clearly easier than my route of ascent. Back at the lodge in 1:30. I wanted a cold beer, but noticed that they also had "Ambar Radler" on tap - very good.
