Information:

How to get there: The natural access point for this mountain is the DNT hut Gjendesheim.
Route description: This climb is (always) done as part of the classic Besseggen ridge. There is a big and very distinct trail starting uphill directly from the Gjendesheim hut.
Comments: I have hiked across Besseggen 4 times, the first time at age 10 years with my father, later with both my sons. Veslfjell is on the Gjendesheim side (the high side) of the ridge. Pretty flat and full of rocks, the mountain is quite a contrast to the nice Besseggen ridge.
