Information:

How to get there:
Drive to Osterøy, take the main road through the big tunnel, but turn right following the sign for Gjerstad. A bit after Gjerstad, turn right and follow the sign for Hatland. In Hatland, turn right again and follow the road towards Fotlandsvågen. Pay attention and make a left turn onto a smaller road well before you get to lake Vestrevatnet. You may park in a right curve on this road at location N60.55588, E005.53710, elevation about 230 meter.
Route description:
Continue up the road to a big, white house at the very end of the road. A forest road continues uphill, then turns right and gains the main ridge. There is a trail here with some markings. Continue uphill along this ridge, it will take you all the way to the summit. The summit has an antenna as well as a summit register.
Comments:
I parked in the curve and started hiking at 1120. The route was easy to follow and I gained the summit by 1205. The view across to Høgafjell was unobstructed, but could have been sharper. I met a local man from Fotlandsvågen, he had hiked from the opposite side. Leaving at 1215, we kept company back down to my car. I subsequently gave him a ride back to Fotlandsvågen.
