How to get there:
Drive north from Dokka towards Nord-Torpa and fork left onto Vestergardsvegen
at location N61.00085, E9.97696. Continue this road, it turns into a self serve toll road, until
location N60.97328, E9.85093. Park next to the road fork. This is the trailhead.
Route:
There are two obvious routes, follow forest roads either to a point shortly before the
west end of lake Langevatn (837m), or one may take the road that runs to the north end
of lake Øyangen.
In the first case, proceed south to Turrtind, in the laatter case, follow the ridge that
runs up to Turrtind from the west.
Comments:
It was a day with rain showers. My friend Sverre was visiting and he agreed to come
along to explore this area. We first went to Turrtind, the ascent took about
50 minutes. Next, we descended the west ridge and crossed north of lake Øyangen
in order to take the trail west
towards the Røskatthovde top. Much to our surprise
this traail turned out to be a forest road. About one hour after leaving Turrtind,
we were on top of Røskatthovde.
Finally, we dropped north to the nearby forest road and followed roads back to our car.
This return took another 50 minutes making the total trip time about 3 hours.
