Information:
How to get there:
Drive E-39 north from Bergen. Continue north and through the
long Eikefet tunnel. After this tunnel, then 6 more short tunnels.
Look for a small, nice parking area on your right hand side about 1.4 kilometer after the
last tunnel. This is the trailhead, location N60.73155, E005.63339, elevation about 15 meter.
Route description:
Cross the road and locate a small trail that heads up the little valley. Follow this
partway up, then turn more left and do a gradual ascent where you aim for a point
east and below the summit. The south side is steep and the summit must be
approached from the east side.
The summit does not have any visible marker.
Comments:
I had been on the lower neigbor, Almeskila and traversed directly across. Ascending
more to my right hand side, I turned the steeper south side and arrived at the
summit from the east side. It took me about one hour to cross between the two
summits. Good views, after about 10 minutes I returned back down, this time
aiming for the lower part of the initial, small valley. The descent took 40 minutes.
