Information:

How to get there:
From Bergen, drive E-16 to Trengereid, then Hwy 7 to the traffic circle just after a long tunnel near the Samanger fjord. Make a right turn here onto Hwy. 48, signed for Mundheim. Drive past Eikelandsosen and Holdhus, you will then get to the intersection where Hwy. 549 goe right (signed for Sævareid). Measure from here and continue along Hwy. 48. Drive 3.8 kilometer, shortly after starting downhill, there is a small, paved road going right. Park here, off the road, this location is N60.19142, E005.89356, elevation about 115 meter.
Route:
Walk up the small paved road to the main farm building higher up (pretty steep road). Here, a forest road (4WD type) forks sharply left. Follow this road uphill and take the left branch at a fork a bit uphill. This road crosses a local hill, then descends slightly to a small valley. From here, the road ascends, then contours left and enters a larger valley. Follow the road as it runs up the valley, then crosses the creek on a small bridge. The road continues steeply uphill, then ends at location N60.17798, E005.86700, elevation about 525 meter.
Continue up the small valley along a good path. This path turns right and serves a cabin located slightly higher up. On may take this route, then climb the ridge above and gradually tend more left near a small pond, then a short final ascent. However, the most direct route is bearing left, then ascend near a small creek next to a gully that may be followed until you are essentially at the summit. There are two small summit points, both marked with a few rocks.
Comments:
I left my car at 1220 and had a nice hike via the mountain cabin to reach the summit at 1400. A very good view point. I took a 360 panorama picture (see below), but also several single pictures. I left the summit at 1415 and opted for a more direct route down to the end of the road. I was back at my car at 1530, so 1:15 for the return hike.
