How to get there:
This is the penisula that extends directly out from the small town, Kas on the
south coast of Turkey. A road connects from the end of the bay, further out,
a road circles the outermost part.
Route:
All access appears to be equally bad. Dense brush with thorns everywhere.
Comments:
We had a good view of this penisula from our BC at Doria Hotel Yacht Club.
The penisula has 4 distinct tops, they all appear to be of similar
height. Numbering from the outermost (west) and towards Kas, I visited tops
1, 2, and 4.
Jonathan de Ferranti provided these data, based on accurate Japanese DEM data:
Top 1: 128 m
Top 2: 116 m
Top 3: 120 m
Top 4: 116 m
My GPS measurements of tops, 1,2,4 read: 130m, 119m, and 117m, respectively.
This is quite consistent with the DEM data. The key saddle is also a bit
out on the penisula at location N36.20010, E029.62454. The GPS gave a negative
evaluation of minus one meter, visual inspection showed this saddle to be
3 meter.
