Location: North 60.30039, East 005.99415 (GPS at the summit)
Climbed June 16. 2018
Difficulty: YDS class 1
Information:
How to get there:
Take Hwy. 7 across Kvamskogen to Norheimsund.
In Norheimsund, turn south along Hwy. 49.
Drive almost to the small village of Strandebarm.
Shortly before, fork left following a sign that says
Haukås 3 km. (Note that the road forks left).
Drive up this road, there is a parking area and a toll
road continues (NOK 30 in 2018). You may as well park
here, since the trailhead is only 700 meter up the
toll road. There is also parking for about 3 cars at
the trailhead, location N60.30963, E006.01341, elevation about
385 meter.
Route:
The trailhead has a clear sign and posted information.
There are small white figures of sheep posted along
the trail. The trail first climbs through birch forest then
turns more left as it gains the main crest which is
followed to a big cairn with a summit register.
Comments:
I parked at the trailhead and started at 1210. The summit was reached
at 1245. Nice views.
I left at 1255 and were back at my car by 1325.
