Information:

How to get there:
Drive from Bergen to Åsane, take the exit just before the shopping center, signed to Morvik. Contine a short stretch on this road, look for the local firestation (red building) on your left. Turn right onto the road named Myrdalsskogen. Drive uphill, the various house numbers are well marked with signs. You want to find number 261, this means a sharp right quite a bit uphill. Drive to the end of this road, there is parking for two cars, this is the trailhead. Location N60:28.296, E005:17.940, elevation about 191 meter.
Route description:
Walk uphill on the pedestrian walk-way. Take the first (big) trail that forks right. This trail takes you steeply to the summit. When the summit is in clear view, fork right and hike to the summit, a trig. marker and an antenna. There is an equally high point a few meter further onwards, visit this point also. To make a loop hike, retrace your steps to the main trail, and turn right, ie. as if you had continued your hike with no interest in visiting the summit. Your return trail is also partly steep, it ends at the very end of the small pedestrian road (which actually ends in a tunnel).
Comments:
I started out at 0940, walking fast I reached the summit in 10 minutes at 0950. After about 10 minutes busy with measuring the elevation of the peak as well as the competing elevation nearby. I continued north-west believing that I would hook up with the trail I just left. Mistake! This trail clearly went to another location. I then decided to contour back and intersect the trail. Mistake number 2 in a short period of time! The off-trail terrain was pretty horrible, steep ravines, lots of "brake", complicated footing. I made it back, then down, arriving at my car at 1025. 10 minutes up, 25 minutes down - not bad!!
