Information:
How to get there:
Drive E-39 north from Bergen. Continue to Haugsvårfjorden, this is the
last fjord before the road crosses north to Sognefjorden. Exit left about
400 meter before the (short) tunnel, then find parking straight ahead
at location N60.90888, E005.52638, elevation about 58 meter.
Route description:
Walk back and through the pedestrian underpass (under the main Highway).
Continue uphill on a rough farm road. This road makes a turn right, then traversing
left before it converts into a mountain trail. Follow this trail as it climbs uphill.
The trail is quite nice, several sections have been built in earlier times to
provide farm access to the mountains above.
Man made steps are still in good shape.
As the trail gets near 680 meter, a red marked summit trail forks left. Follow this
to the summit.
Comments:
I did this hike with Knut Sverre,
very nice company and quite strong
hiker for his age! We left around 0940 and summited
at 1125. Started back down after 10 minutes and were back at the car around 1300.
