How to get there:
Drive north from Bergen on E-39. Cross the large floating bridge, then immediately,
turn righ and follow signs to Holsøy. Measure from this turn-off. Drive
Hwy. 564, after 2.6 kilometer, go straight through a traffic circle and continue
on Hwy. 564. After 11.9 kilometer, turn right, the sign says Bjø:rndal. Follow this
road until it ends at kilometer 15.3 (i.e. the last raod is about 3.4 kilometer).
You are now in Sjurdal, park on the right hand side, location N60.55440 E005.13070,
elevation about 90 meter.
Route description:
There is a trail information sign at the beginning of the trail. Continue directly
uphil at a very good path. When this path levels out, pay attention and take the trail
that forks right. There is a sign (vertical) saying Brakstadfjellet at the fork.
This trail runs nicely to the summit. The summit has
a cairn and a large antenna serving the
air-traffic to Bergen airport.

I started at 1325 and arrived at the top at 1355. It was raining all way.
I was back down at my car (soaked) at 1420.
