Information:

How to get there:
From Bergen, first E-16 towards Oslo, then right onto Hwy. 7 in the traffic circle in Trengereid. Continue on Hwy. 7 to Kvamskogen, as you get to lake Eikedalsvatnet, pay attention and turn left towards the Eikedalen downhill ski area. There is a large parking area serving the ski area. Park here. The elevation is about 450 meter.
Route description:
Ascend up the skislope and keep left as you ascend. Traverse left below Huldabottsfjellet to reach the col between this mountain and Børdalsfjellet. There is a steepish cliff running along this col, thus ascend as soon as convenient. The mountain itself has several local tops and small, steep clifs. Pick a good route to reach the highest point, this is located all the way south.
Comments:
I had already visited Storafjellet and Flæfjellet on this nice Saturday. It was definitely tempting to also visit the third summit in this area. To do so, I first needed to connect with the downhill slopes from the local summit Grø:et. To descend to the col separating these two, requires crossing terrain that may be quite rough for skiing. Some snowboard people had tried to run from the Flæfjellet side, I quickly discovered their boot tracks. Steep enough to carry the skis and use the already well established steps.
Next, this trip involved crossing and partially descending several of the downhill slopes that are used by the skiers in the Eikedalen ski area. I traversed east of Huldabottsfjellet and descended to the small valley that separates this mountain from Bø:rdalsfjellet. There was quite a long and steep cliff blocking direct access, I skied east until I located a ramp that could be skied up to gain the mountain plateau. Onwards, I skied to the wrong summit point, arriving to far north. Again a steepish descent was required before I could climb the correct highest point. This summit had more of a summit marker than my two previous summits. It was getting late in the day, I finally arrived at 1640.
After a brief rest, I turned back, picking a course that brought me back down to the ski area parking, arriving there at 1715.
