Location: North 60.64486, East 007.23407 (GPS at the summit)
Hardangervidda, Norway
Difficulty: (YDS) class 2
Climbed March 5. 2016.
Information:
How to get there:
A good starting point is Finse. This summit may also
easily be reached from Hallingskeid, the next stop on
the railroad after Finse, when going west. Note that many
trains bypass this station without a stop.
Route description:
From Storhaugane, 1433m, ski down to the small lake south-west
of the summit, then continue down to the lake 1289m. From here,
ascend the peak.
Comments:
The description is part of a nice ski route from Finse to the DNT self serve
hut Hallingskeid. The previous peak was Storhaugane.
The trip across to the west summit required about 30 minutes, arriving there
around 1330. My trip next continued
to Søre Grøndalsnuten.
