Location: North 38.65058, West 028.07408 (GPS at the summit)
Terceira, Azores
Difficulty: (YDS) class 1
Climbed July 28. 2014.
Information:
Here is a quick summary of my climbs in the Azores islands.
How to get there:
This is the highest point on the Terceira island in the Azores. The summit is full of
antennas and is served by a road. Access is from the west side of the island, the small
side road that climbs to the very summit is well signed.
Route description:
This is a drive-up mountain.
The entire top area is full of ugly antennas.
Comments:
Heidi and I was in transit from Faial (Horta) to Sao Miguel. We hired a taxi
for 3 hours of sightseeing (2014 cost Euro 50). It was easy to travel
to the summit,
unfortunately in the middle of a cloud.
Very limited visibility.
