How to get there:
This peak is located in Tysvær. Travel south on E-39 and then go east from the traffic circle
in Aksdal. Continue towards Espevik. A few kilometer before Espevik, turn left near location
N59.3621, E5.6618. There are signs for the Lammanuten trail here. Parking, NOK 50, pay by Vipps.
I drove a few meter along the smaller road and parked at N59.36269, E005.66468, elevation near
50 meter.
Route:
The trail is well signed and marked. Cross the creek on the bridge, then
continue on the road. The first 1.5 kilometer follows
a nicely kept forest road. At the end of the road, keep left and follow the
trail. The trail has been improved with board walks across the meadows.
The mountain you see ahead in the beginning,
is not your summit, Lammanuten comes into view when
crossing the last couple of meadows.
I had no problems staying dry with running shoes. There are two nearby cairns, the
last one being the highest point. Comments:
I left Bergen around 0745 and just missed a ferry at Halhjem. The drive was pleasant
and I got ready to start hiking by 1045. The walk took 1.5 hours. After about 10 minutes on
top, I returned. The weather was nice, but with a breeze. Back at my car before 1400.
