How to get there:
Please se the entry for Monte Vettore.
Here is an overview of peaks climbed at my Europe 2012 summer trip.

Route description:
This route is identical to the route for Monte Vettore until you reach the main saddle that separates the two peaks.
When arriving at this saddle, turn left and follow the visible path that heads up the ridge. This ridge gets more narrow as you ascend higher. It is easier to stay a bit on the left side. You will first arrive at a local summit called Cima del Lago, elevation 2422 meter. This summit has about 70 meter prominence that you now must descend before the ridge continues higher. Continue to follow the ridge, with no difficulties, to the summit.
Comments:
I had just climbed Monte Vettore, having a very nice view across to this mountain. I decided that there would be enough time to also bag this "bonus peak". More seriously, it looked like a much better route.
I left the summit of Monte Vettore at 1330, crossed Cima del Lago at 1400 and arrived at the summit by 1415. A very nice summit with a fun ridge route. I rested and took my last 0.5 liter of water. The descent all the way back to the car was completed in about one hour, with easy jogging from the main col.
