Information:

How to get there:
This small mountain is located directly left of I-70, when driving from Denver/Lakewood towards the Rocky Mountains. Exit at XX and find parking near a small supermarket mall. If a very short walk is required, then locate the road that heads up the hill (towards your left), climbing uphill behind (above) the supermarket area. Drive this road (keeping right) as close as you can. The final road that serves the summit is a pretty good dirt road, however, we did not verify if vehicle access is possible/permitted since we hiked a short-cut instead of following the road all the way.
Comments:
I did this trip with my friend Sverre. We made this trip quite a bit longer than a short ascent, since it was supposed to be a running work-out. We started up a pretty long hillside, the trail making several switch-backs. Along the top of this hill, along more gentle terrain, we got a it too far to the right, loosing the trail route. Recovering along a road that climbed parallel to I-70, we crossed on the overpass, moved through a small supermarket area, then joined a paved road that climbs the final slope. At the end, we followed a dirt road that continued to the very summit.
We called Ellen and she came up to the supermarket area where we met after having descended the upper slopes. It remains a bit unclear if there is vehicle access to the final, upper dirt road.
