How to get there:
The city of Tripoli is a good point of reference. First, head 12 kilometer towards Athen (on Hwy. E-65). Exit and continue north on Hwy. 111 another 12 kilometer. Locate the road that forks left to serve the area immediately west of the peak. Drive this road 10 kilometer, find parking on your right hand side next to a locked gate. This location is N37.64594, E022.26799, elevation about 1550 meter.
Route description:
Walk the road behind the gate up to the building, pass on the right hasnd side and continue the road until a bend where the trail forks right, marked with a very visible cairn. Shortly, the trail forks and the route continues right. The trail continues to the main crest, then turns more right and ascends the west side of the mountain, turning into a local saddle south of the summit. Continue from here on easy terrain north to the summit.
Comments:
I left at 0940 and arrived on top after 45 minutes. Good views, the summit was above the clouds that generally covered the landscape. After a brief rest, I descended in 30 minutes for an overall trip time slightly less thaan 1:30.
