How to get there:
Drive E-16 from Bergen.
Continue E-16 past Trengereid towards Voss. After Dale, turn left on
Hwy. 569 to Romarheim. Drive this narrow road to Straume where you
cross the fjord on a bridge. Very shortly after this bridge, turn right
on a small road. Continue straight when pavement ends, then turn left.
There is parking right away on your left hand side. This is a good
trailhead, location N60.65506, E005.81060, elevation 55 meter.
Route description:
Continue along the farm road that you just turned onto before parking. It
heads uphill and will arrive at a col. At this col a trail forks left.
There is also a sign saying Storanipo.
The trail is marked with blue paint. Follow it to the summit.
The highest point is located just before the trail ends at the viewpoint.
Comments:
I started at 1125 and arrived at the summit at 1210. The summit has
a very good view down to the fjord, but
also inland to Hesjedalsnovene.
There is also a summit register as well as benches to sit on.
I left at 1220 and returned to my car in 40 minutes, at 1300.
This is a nice and easy hike to a good viewpoint.
