How to get there:
From Bergen, drive north on E-39, cross the large floating bridge,
then immediately exit right and drive Hwy. 564 until a signed fork
going right to Tveit. Turn left in the intersection at Tveit, then
tunr right on the second small road going right. Next to a house partway
uphill there is a parking area on your right. Park here, this is the
trailhead. Location N60.54604 E005.15627, elevation about 60 meter.
Ask permission to park in the house across the road.
Route description:
Continue uphill. The road continues as an old forest road
all the way up the col. A signed trail runs left towards
Brakstadfjellet. Continue a few meter straight ahead, then pick up
a small trail that goes right. Follow this trail. Keep right if
you encounter what looks like a trail fork.
The trail will lead all
the way to the summit. Comments:
I left at 1140 and arrived at the summit at 1200.
The return hike also took about 20 minutes.
