Here is quick summary of my climbs in the Azores islands.
How to get there:
This island highpoint on Flores is a drive-up to ugly antennas.
From Santa Cruz das Flores, take the inland road that crosses the island to the west side.
The turn-off going right, is well signed. Follow this smaller, but paved road to the flat
summit plateau. Route description:
You typically arrive at this summit by car.
Just before you reach the flat summit, there is a small ridge
on the left hand side of the road with a summit marker.
It seems pretty clear that this mountain was higher before the
construction of the summit antennas.
Comments:
Heidi and I drove up here in dense fog and no visibility
on our first day on the Flores island. There is not much more to add.
