Information:

How to get there:
Drive E-16 from Bergen. Continue E-16 past Trengereid towards Voss. Turn left across a narrow bridge in Evanger. Continue on a narrow, paved road across the mountains and down to the valley Eksingedalen. Turn right (upstream) when you arrive to the intersection down on the valley floor. Drive a bit more than 8 kilometer to the farm Ekse. You should see the narrow foot-bridge crossing the river on your right hand side. Park here at location N60.82753, E006.24241, elevation about 560 meter.
Route description:
Cross the river on the bridge, then follow the river going right and cross the small creek coming down Tjørnadalen. Follow the good trail curving left and uphill. This trail now runs up Tjørnadalen with the samll creek on your left side. Follow this trail until you reach about 700 meter of elevation. Leave the trail going right and head more or less directly towards the summit. In this way, you will avoid a somewhat sharp ravine that must be crossed if the trail is followed to 800 meter or higher. The terrain is easy and the slopes are gentle. The summit is marked by a single rock.
Comments:
I arrived at the trailhead around noon, changed into hiking clothes and could head out at 1215. I followed the trail all the way to about 820 meter of elevation, then headed right towards the summit. To my surprise, a pretty steep and narrow ravine ran directly across my intended route. I found a way down and up on the other side, but decided to descend along a route that would avoid this difficulty. I arrived at the summit at 1320, slightly more than one hour. It had been a nice and pleasant hike. Good views, the higher mountains already white, winter is about to arrive.
I left at 1330 and walked downslope with the aim to intersect the trail about 100 vertical meter lower than the point where I left on ascent. In this way, the route was smooth without any obstacles. I was back at my car 1410, a total trip time less than 2 hours.
