How to get there:
This hill is close to Gol, however, to access the trailhead described here, one needs to drive up from Gol on the Hwy. going across to Valdres (Golsfjellet). Complete 2 major hairpin curves turning right, then drive slightly less than one kilometer measured from the last right turn, to find a local road (Åsgardan) that forks right. In the next fork, keep left. Continue to parking at a place called Vindfallet. When I was there, the final road segment was closed by a locked gate. One should be careful parking such that the road is not blocked. Very large trucks (timber) use these roads. I parked near the roadfork at location N60.71545, E008.97567, elevation near 505 meter.
Route description:
A (signed) trail starts at this roadfork. Follow it towards the summit. The trail is signed for a viewpoint below and beyond the summit. It is pretty obvious when you reach the highest point, as the trail descends significantly just beyond.
Comments:
I visited this hill on my way from Voss to Bærum. Good to stretch legs and move around. It had snowed very recently, but the snow on the trail did not cause any issues aside from hiding a few slippery roots. I left at 1700 and arrived at the summit 1725. The return hike took 20 minutes. I brought a torch in case of darkness, but daylight was still there just before 1800.
