Information:

How to get there:
Drive to Trengereid, then take Hwy. 7 across towards Samnanger. Going downhill, drive through 3 tunnels and locate a road going right immediately before a big left curve on Hwy. 7. This road is signed Skarstø 3. Measure from here. Drive 2.3 kilometer, and find a small road going right with a number of mailboxes placed near the turn. Take this road, uphill, then between two houses and across a local hilltop. At kilometer 2.6, there is a small road going left. Park here (at the road going left), this is a reasonable trailhead, location N60.37811, E005.68937, elevation about 145 meter.
Route description:
Continue along the same road (not the short dead-end where you parked.) You will pass a gate, then descend to a very distinct saddle. The road ends here. Take the trail going left into the col. Look for a steep trail that climbs to your right. This path may not be easy to see, but it is clearer higher up as it climbs along the top of the steep terrain. Higher up, you cross a fence, then follow trails in the forest that heads uphill. It pays to cross right and ascend the ridge further right. Higher up, there are several small trails. Just proceed uphill. You will see a small building and a tree hut. The summit is just a short distance further ahead on a small, but distinct ridge.
Comments:
I started at 1150 and arrived at the summit 1230. Returning to the car at 1300, I headed across to visit Eineråsen.
