Information:

How to get there:
From Bergen, drive E-16 to Voss, continue through the tunnel turn right in the traffic circle when exiting. Drive a few kilometer in the direction of Granvin, look for signs and make a left when you see the sign for Mjølfjell. Follow this Mjølfjell road for about 10 kilometer until you see a sign for Kvitno going left. Take this road, cross the creek (left fork) and find parking on the left side just after a left turn in a T-junction. Pay parking, NOK 50 in 2023. This location is at N60.70098, E006.57960, elevation about 507 meter.
Route:
Ski the road that continues and serves Fjosstølen, about 1 kilometer away. Fork right after about 800 meter. Follow the trail north that ascends to Remleskaret, ski track in winter. Just as this trail starts descending, ascend more steeply left, gain the main crest and follow this to the highest summit.
Comments:
I was at Voss with the Bergen Mountaineering club. The previous day having guided a group on a ski ascent of a 1269m peak from Brandset. Today, too few signed up for a ski ascent, the weather forecast was also less than perfect. I therefore decided to ski a couple of smaller hills north of Voss.
The weather and snow actually turned out better than expected. I started skiing at 0915 and made the summit of Høgenoltane by 1025. Skiing back down to Fjosstølen, I next skied up the north ridge of Lauvhovden arriving there by 1145. A short break, then descending back to the car by 1215. A nice 3 hour trip with 2 summits.
