How to get there:
From Bergen, first E-16 towards Oslo, then right onto Hwy. 7 in the traffic circle in Trengereid. Continue on Hwy. 7 to Kvamskogen, as you get to lake Eikedalsvatnet, pay attention and turn left towards the Eikedalen downhill ski area. There is a large parking area serving the ski area. Park here. The elevation is about 450 meter.
Route description:
The easiest way to climb this mountain would be to take the skilift to the summit Grøet, then make the short traverse to the summit of Flæfjellet.
However, one can make a much nicer ascent by first skiing into Skeiskvanndalen, then ascending from there.
Comments:
I climbed this mountain directly after an ascent of Storafjellet. Thus, skiing from the saddle between these two mountains, I had an easy ascent up gentle slopes. A cliffband followed by a lower section just before approaching the summit was unexpected, but did not cause many problems.
My trip continued to the final summit in this area, Børdalsfjellet.
