How to get there:
The Hoven mountain is located directly above hotel Alexandra in Loen.
Loen is a small community about 10 kilometer from the larger village
of Stryn.
Route description:
There are two ways to ascend Hoven. One can take the impressive (and expensive)
Loen skylift,
or one can ascend 1000 vertical meter
using the Via Ferrata that has
been established here.
Comments:
I checked out this area on May 28th. 2017. We started
in the morning and made good progress.
Here is Selina, she seems to enjoy the route.
Higher up, one may cross a pretty nice bridge with significant exposure all around.
Even higher, near the end of the route, one may cross back, this
time walking on a single wire.
After another short and easy section,
one arrives at the Hoven summit.
