The band formed in 1993 as Da Castle of Aaargh by
Thornes, Brynjulfsen, Voldsæter, Øvrebø and finally
Bjørn 'Cool de sac' Reksten who left the band in '94. Da Castle... was
disrupted by conscription, but resurfaced as The Sverre in '95. The media
critical song Max Mekker was
played on a minor radio station in Bergen.
In 1996 a legendary demo was recorded, with classics such as Kim André , Motvinden , Russ 2000 and others. The Sverre then became Groupe Inepte Anoraque. In '99 Robert Jønnum joined the band and added important musical proficiency. The appearence at the Hybel Live gig that year was a great success. The set included a cover version of Joy Division's "Transmission." Later that year, the band was renamed Liga and Steinar Øie replaced Jønnum. |
