Hi
Paul
Create a box (primitives work best) And shape it
to you needs (as the window cut should look). Place it so it
intersects with the geometry you want to cut a hole
in. Select the main geometry (the fuselage i guess) And in
the command panel under geometry-rollout select 'compound
objects'! Hit the Boolean button, the Operation should
be: Subtraction A-B, now hit the 'pick operand B' button,
and the select the box you just made. Now you should have
cut a hole for the window.

Another
method you could use to make windows is:
First, shape
the outline of your window on the fuselage. Then select the
poly(s) that are in the "window opening" and DETACH them from
the fuselage. It will ask you to rename the detached
part...call it window_01 or whatever you wish.
This
kills two birds with one stone...it cuts your window opening
in the fuse, and creates the window you need to plug the
hole.
If you have multiple windows, once they're split
off of the fuselage you can ATTACH them together so they are
all basically the same part. This eliminates having to edit
properties for each window singly.
