The
eyepoint setting determines your view position inside the
virtual cockpit. But how do I set the position of the VC with
respect to the visual aircraft model and the outside world? At
the moment my view from the VC is too low down. A simple test
shows that the VC is positioned near the centre of the
aircraft and at approximately half the correct height.
The pivot for the interior group sets the eyepoint, but it
does not change the position of the virtual cockpit itself
with respect to the outside world. Moving the VC within Gmax
has no effect. I couldn't find any settings in the cfg files.
Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks.
Best regards, Chris Wright

Problem
solved!
The procedure to increase the VC height is:
1. Move the interior group pivot down. 2. Increase the
eyepoint height setting by a corresponding amount.
You can also move the VC forwards/backwards by a similar
procedure.
This works fine, so now while taxiing my Constellation I
can look down on those puny Cessnas!
Best
