Someone has
figured out the names you gotta give to your strobe lights ??
And how about navigation lights ??
We've got landing and taxy lights already, but how about
the rest.
I've just come across a page where it said that navs and
strobes are to be added via the aircraft.cfg
Anyone has experiance with this ??
Thnx & greetz

you can add
nav lights and stuff in the cfg if you want but if you want
them to move with an animated part (nav light on the rudder
for example) then you need to define them in gmax.
How is this done?
well have you done my landing lights tutorial a takeoff.to/landing. You need to do the same
as that but name your material,
light_land
light_taxi
light_nav
light_recognition
light_logo
light_wing
i have left out light_beacon and strobe as makemdl has a
few bits missing to be able to make these, it tries but hmmm
undefined becon4 or becont

oh a link
to the thread this is in at ffds freeflightdesgin
For the cfg method look in the cfg for one of the
default aircraft and find the [LIGHTS] section,
here you will see for example
light.0=type,lat,lon,vert,effect,
where type 1=beacon,
2=strobe,
3=navigation,
4=cockpit
lat/lon and vert are the offsets in feet of the light from
the referance datum.
effect= the effect file to use

You ask if
I have checked out your tutorials ??? Question is: "who
hasn't" ;o)
They are just so good. Although that I have had to mess
around a bit to make the lights light up and the gear move.
But eventualy it does all work.
If you want to have a peek at what I'm doing: http://users.belgacom.net/vf1wc/Ajet/Ajet.html
