Q: Is there a complete list with 'instructions', of all the different animation tags for gmax somewhere? I got the one from freeflightdesign but there is no explanation for the ones that's not obvious (e.g. r_pct_trail_edge_flap1) A: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that tag (along with the one similar to it) is for the keyframe animation of flaps. Basicaly there are 3 methods of animating flaps using gmax. 1) let fs rotate them by using the l/r_flap tags 2) use the l/r_flap_key tags to provide keyframe animation where 1 time period in gmax = 1 degree of flap (can be very jerky) 3) The best of the bunch is the tags you metion above are for key frame anim of flaps but are percentage based (much like the landing gear or the doors) where 1 time period in gmax = 1 percent of flap. There are tags for leading edge and trailing edge flaps. Chris takeoff.to/landing
