This page is in no way meant to be a page about Role-Playing games in general. Rather, it contains pointers to gaming material, most of which is linked to Role-Playing games. If you don't know what Role-Playing games are, I doubt you'll find out here, but then, you never know...

Some of the material that is here is original, created by me. Almost all of the local links are things I have made accessible to players in games i GM. To help them, and any others that might stray into these pages, I have put in some links to good, helpful servers with info related to Role-Playing games.

GURPS

I am currently working on a campaign in Bunnies & Burrows, a game for the GURPS Role-Playing system. Copyright for the game belongs to Steve Jackson Games.

There is a mailing list for GURPS, which can be reached by sending mail to Majordomo@pentagon.io.com, with subscribe gurpsnet-l (Your E-mail address) in the body of the message. One of the more active people on the list, Dan Frolich, maintains a GURPS page, with among other things pages on how to run GURPS campaigns in the worlds of Star Trek and Middle Earth.

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

From time to time, I also run campaigns in the T$R Role-Playing system AD&D. For the most part, I use the World Setting Al-Qadim, and have therefore seen fit to make a short Player introduction for this setting. Please believe me when I say that NOTHING in this introduction has in any way been approved by, or (I hope - they'd probably sue me for copyright violation) even seen by, T$R.

There are any number of sources for AD&D-material on the net. So far, no official T$R page is known to exist, though there are rumours that something is on its way. Don't hold your breath, but in the meantime, you might try the pages maintained by Mick Duff or Wade Holst. Both of these, especially Mick's page, has a lot of information on, and links to, other games and game-resources. One place where there is absolutely no risk of bumping into anything but AD&D-related material is the newsgroup rec.games.frp.dnd - a newsgroup with a large amount of traffic, but most of it is rather sensible.

Nephilim

The third game I'm putting in a bit of work with is Nephilim, the game of occult roleplaying. The game is published by Chaosium Games. There are mail lists both for Chaosium and Nephilim. To sign up for the Chaosium digest, send mail to appel@erzo.berkeley.edu, asking to be subscribed, and you will be. The Nephilim mailing list can be subscribed to by sending mail to majordomo@erzo.berkeley.edu with the words subscribe nephilim or subscribe nephilim-digest in the body of the message.

Miscellaneous

The game Miscellaneous, published by Bucket Productions, is a game mainly dealing with... - did I have you going there for a moment?

Seriously though, there so many good resources for Role-playing games in general, that I just have to have some info on this here. Thomas Petersen and Michael Perceny have both got good pages, both situated in Germany, and there is also a good one in the UK, maintained by Jake Riddoch. Notwithstanding, the very best source of information is the newsgroup rec.games.frp.misc - a place to find answers to questions, also giving an opportunity to ask new ones.

No source like this is complete without information on Gaming Cons and Magazines. To take the last first, I know of two gaming zines one the net, Apocrypha and Fønix, the last being in Danish. With regards to Cons, I can only provide information on Cons in Norway, where the two main ones are Arcon in Oslo and Regncon in Bergen. Information on Swedish Cons are available through The Swedish Diplomacy Home Pages and Sverok, the Swedish association of Gamers, who maintains a Swedish Convention List.

And finally, here is the commercial; If there is no shop in your vicinity carrying Gaming material, or if they don't carry exactly the products you absolutely have to get you hands on, try The Greenleaf Online Store Homepage, the online mail-order Game shop - they have a fairly good selection of useful products.
