Computational Fluid Dynamic on high performance computersUwe FladrichTU-DresdenHandling of real world CFD problems requires large computational resources as well as appropriate algorithms and mathematical methods. The talk presents an integrative implementation of techniques like parallel multigrid adaption, local grid refinement and parallelization procedures for distributed memory architectures. A theoretical model describing the costs of adaption is compared to tests which were run on Cray T3E systems utilizing up to 512 nodes. Using this framework, various Navier-Stokes problems were solved and the results will be presented. |
