NEW: ICE Browser

Check out ICE Browser. It's HTML browser (full support for HTML 3.2). It can be used in an applet or application either directly or as a JavaBean. There is an on-line demo.

JavaBrowser

The browser package allows to display an HTML file from within an application or an applet. Basicly, you just give it a Container (Frame or Panel) to display the output to and then call a method to open a URL. The package has been developed for use in a help system. There is a special feature that is useful for help system implementation. The text between <MENU> and </MENU> tags is treated in a special way: it is displayed in a separate window on top of the browser Container. This can be used for showing contents of a file for example. The feature can be turned off. For more info take a look at the documentation.

The JavaBrowser package has been developed by Alexey Goloshubin <s667@ii.uib.no> and Jeremy Cook <jeremy@ii.uib.no>
