You have to apply through your respective university. However, if you wish to have your thesis or computer science project supervised by us (see Supervision), we require that you have made prior arrangments with us directly. General information can be found on this website.

Useful dates

The academic year at the University of Bergen starts with the fall semester. The fall semester is August-December and the spring semester is January - June.

For students at UiB, the following application periods are now valid (source):

For the spring semester is 1 September - 15 October.

For the fall semester is 15 March - 1 May.

The application deadlines for the spring and fall semester might be different from the deadlines at your home university. If this should be the case, we recommend to ask at the exchange office at your home university about how to proceed.
