Short Biography

Cagatay Turkay is a PhD candidate in Visualization Group at Department of Informatics in University of Bergen, Norway. He received his MS. degree in Computer Science in 2009 from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey, and since 2010 he works as a PhD candidate at UIB. He worked as a visiting research fellow at the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences in Harvard University in 2013.

His research mainly focuses on the tight integration of interactive visualizations, data analysis techniques and explorative knowledge/capabilities of experts. He has a special interest in high-dimensional, temporal data from bioinformatics and biomolecular modelling domain. Refer to the Curriculum Vitae for further details.
