Norway Grants Mobility Project

Description: The objective of this project was to establish the cooperation platform between the visualization groups at the University of Bergen and the Masaryk University. This platform forms the basis for joining closely related research and education activities currently ongoing in both groups.

Period: 01.08.2016 - 31.08.2016

Funding: EHP a Norské fondy

Partners: The University of Bergen and the Masaryk University

PhysioIllustration

Description: The focus of the project is to develop novel graphics data representations, visual representations, occlusion handling, visual guidance and storytel-ling, zooming, interaction and integration of physiological models and medical imaging. The visualization technology will be developed and evaluated on multiple scale levels, from molecular machines, up to the organ level.

Period: 2013 - 2018

Funding: European Research Council

Partners: UiB; The Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms Computer Graphics Group, Vienna University of Technology

IllustraSound

Description: The focus of the project is on the visualization of medical ultrasound data. The vision is to provide new visualization technology to address the readability problem by enriching the ultrasound data with other types of medical data

Period: 2009 - 2012

Funding: Norwegian Research Council

Partners: UIB, CMR, HUS

SemSeg

Description: The objective of this project is to research a new segmentation method for unsteady flows that has the elegance and specificity of (steady) VFT, but which provides correct results for unsteady flows as well. This project aims at the formulation of a sound theoretical mechanism to describe structural features in time-dependent flow.

Period: 2009 - ..

Funding: European Commission (FP7)

Partners: UIB, University of Magdeburg, ETH Zurich, VRVis

GeoIllustrator

Description: GeoIllustrator aspires to develop new and better ways to digitally illustrate geological data and geological concepts. The research and development of new interactive, illustrative visualization methods for the geosciences, will help understanding and interpreting surface and subsurface geology.

Period: 2009 - 2012

Funding: Statoil

Partners: Statoil, Christian Michelsen Research AS, Department of Earth Science UiB

VisMaster

Description: VisMaster is a European Coordination Action Project focused on the research discipline of Visual Analytics. The goal of this Coordination Action is to join European academic and industrial R&D excellence from several individual disciplines, forming a strong Visual Analytics research community.

Period: 2009 - 2010

Funding: European Coordination Action

Partners: ...

eLAD

Description: In this project, the main objective is to build laboratories and facilities for developing, evaluating and designing future e-centre based working processes, software tools and automation processes throughout planning and execution of drilling operations.

Period: 2009 - ...

Funding: Research Council of Norway, StatoilHydro ASA and ConocoPhillips Norway.

Partners: International Research Institute of Stavanger, CMR and Institute for Energy Technology
