In this talk we will give a brief introduction to Diffpack which is a software tool for numerical solution of partial differential equations. Applications from reservoirs flow, modeling of the electrical activity in the human heart and and pricing of financial instruments will be given. The ability of Diffpack to generate rapid prototypes will be emphasized. Also adaptive and parallel solutions of PDE's will be discussed.
