How to get there:
This is an easy hike to a fine vioewpoint near Geneve. One may start from the east side or from
the west side. The east side trail starts slightly higher, thus a bit less elevation gain.
There is parking on the east side at the end of the road, properly named Route du Mole, at location
N46.102629, E6.471222, elevation near 1330 meter.
Route:
Looking uphill, the trail starts as a farm road slightly right of the parking area. This farm road is followed
to the buildings in the small col, visible across to your left. From there, a proper trail starts, first traversing
right in order to get to the proper slope of Mole. This trail now climbs the small col on the
south-east ridge, then follows this ridge to the summit. There are two summit points, the first one reached with
a cross, is slightly lower than the next having a nice bench and good views of Geneve.
Comments/Trip Report:
We visited this peak on our way from Megeve to the Ribu located more north in France, Grand Ballon.
Leaving at 1020, the ascent took 55 minutes. Many people and good views in all directions. I spent 15
minutes on top, then descnded back down to the car in 35 minutes.
