How to get there:
This mountain is directly south of the small town Ørsta.
From E-39, take the signed llocaal road for Rystefeltet. Follow the
main road as it climbs (keeping right), until you finally turn left and
drive a reasonable dirt road the short stretch to good parking near location
N62.18049, E006.10494, elevation 176m.
Route description:
Follow the forest road uphill, you may also take the trail that is
slightly more direct, as an alternative to the switchbacks on the road.
When the road ends, a clear trail continues into the pretty flat valley.
There are two signed alternatives, about equal in length. Going left will
bring you via "Pølsa, while proceeding straight will get you via
lake Dinglavatnet. The trails are well marked and signed.
Note that the highest point
is not where the cairn is located. Comments:
I was on my way to visit my friend Arnt on Gurskøya. However, there seemed
to be time for a short walk/climb before driving to his house.
I left my car at 1725, walked the route via Pølsa
and arrived on top
at 1830. After 10 minutes, I went back down via lake Dinglavatnet and completed
the descent by 1930.
